Chapter Eight – Going Once, Going Twice

Bridgette pulls Bella in close for a deep passionate kiss, exploring Bella’s mouth with hers. Bella melts in the kiss and in Bridgette’s arms as they stand in the middle of the suite. Finally Bridgette breaks the kiss and pulls back slightly, gazing deeply into Bella’s eyes.

There is one more thing for tonight, doll Bridgette states softly. I’ve had a special collar commissioned just for you. It’s made of solid 24 karat gold. Unfortunately it’s back at the estate in the vault so I will have to wait until we return to formally collar you. Until then, I want you to wear this ring as a token of my appreciation and care for you.
Reaching into her pocket, she produces a small velvet box, opening it to reveal a stunning ring nestled within. The band is a delicate twist of rose gold, set with a brilliant diamond solitaire that catches the light like captured starlight.

This is for you, my doll, Bridgette murmurs, her voice thick with sentiment. A symbol of our bond, until we can formalize it with a proper ceremony.

With trembling fingers, Bella allows Bridgette to slide the ring onto her finger, marveling at its exquisite craftsmanship and the significance it carries.

Bridgette cups Bella’s face in her hands, tilting it upward until their gazes lock. You are mine, now and forever, she whispers fiercely. And I will protect you with every fiber of my being.

Thank you, Mistress, Bella whispers, her voice choked with emotion. I…I don’t know what to say. This means everything to me.

Bridgette smiles warmly, brushing a stray tear from Bella’s cheek with her thumb. You don’t need to say anything, doll. Your love and devotion are all I require.

Bella leans into Bridgette’s touch, relishing the warmth and strength of her captor’s embrace. In this moment, she feels truly cherished and valued, the center of Bridgette’s universe. And yet, beneath the euphoria, a tiny niggle of doubt persists, the lingering echoes of her former life and the questions that remain unanswered.

Bridgette’s hands drop from Bella’s face, trailing down her neck and shoulders before coming to rest on her waist. We should finish getting ready, Bridgette murmurs, her voice low and husky. The auction will begin soon, and we have appearances to maintain.

Reluctantly, Bella steps back, already missing the warmth and security of Bridgette’s embrace. She watches as Bridgette crosses the room to retrieve her own outfit, a tailored tuxedo cut to emphasize her lean, athletic frame. The contrast between Bridgette’s masculine attire and Bella’s ultra-feminine gown sends a thrill of excitement through Bella’s veins, heightening her awareness of the power dynamics at play.

As Bridgette dresses, Bella takes the opportunity to study her reflection once more. The ring glints on her finger, a tangible reminder of the bond they now share. She twists it anxiously, wondering what the future holds for them both.

Bella watches as Bridgette finishes getting ready, her eyes drinking in every detail of her captor’s appearance. From the crisply tailored tuxedo jacket, the slim black vest that goes under the blouse, to the polished black boots, Bridgette exudes an air of authority and sophistication that takes Bella’s breath away.

As Bridgette turns to face her, Bella feels a familiar flutter of nervousness in her stomach. Despite their growing intimacy, she still can’t quite shake the sense of awe and intimidation that Bridgette inspires in her.

Are you ready, doll? Bridgette asks, her voice soft but commanding. The auction awaits.

Bella takes a deep breath, steeling herself for what lies ahead. Yes, Mistress, she responds, her voice steady despite the butterflies dancing in her belly. I’m ready.

With a final nod of approval, Bridgette offers Bella her arm, guiding her towards the door and out into the bustling corridor beyond. As they walk, Bella clings tightly to Bridgette’s side, drawing strength and comfort from her presence.

Bridgette and Bella descend the grand staircase arm in arm, a vision of contrasting elegance. While Bridgette embodies understated sophistication in her tailored tuxedo, Bella draws all eyes with her scandalously sheer gown, each step a testament to her transformed grace and poise.

As they enter the main ballroom, the murmur of conversation subsides, replaced by a collective intake of breath. Whispers ripple through the crowd, speculation abounds over the identity of the stunning platinum-haired woman at Bridgette’s side.

Who is she?

Have you ever seen anyone so exquisite?

Surely she’s not one of Bridgette’s… acquisitions?

Bella hears the snippets of gossip, her cheeks flushing under the weight of so many gazes. She clings tighter to Bridgette’s arm, grateful for the anchor amidst the sea of strangers.

Across the room, Lucien raises his glass to Bella, an inch, no more. Genevieve doesn’t bother to pretend she’s looking anywhere else. Beside them, the dark-haired woman in red from the reception observes the new arrivals with cold, assessing eyes, her lips curled into a slight sneer.

Bella can feel their gazes upon her, some appreciative, others leering.

So many people, Bella murmurs, leaning in close to Bridgette. And they’re all staring at me.

Bridgette chuckles softly, patting Bella’s hand reassuringly. Of course they are, doll. You’re the most beautiful woman in the room. They can’t help themselves.

Despite Bridgette’s words, Bella can’t shake the feeling of unease that settles in the pit of her stomach. She knows that beneath the glitz and glamour, something sinister lurks – the auction, and all the horrors it entails.

Bella keeps her chin up as she and Bridgette navigate the crowded ballroom, the weight of countless stares bearing down upon her. Under the chandeliers the gown is all but invisible, and Bella knows exactly how much of her the room can see. Every step in her sky-high heels is a careful negotiation, the tight fabric restricting her movement and forcing her to rely heavily on Bridgette’s steady arm.

Bridgette lifts two flutes of champagne from a passing tray and hands one to Bella, and the server’s eyes flick to Bridgette’s for the briefest moment before he moves on. As Bella takes her first sip, she notices the dark-haired woman approaching, her crimson gown swaying hypnotically with each step. Up close, she exudes an air of refined cruelty, her sharp features accentuated by dramatic makeup and severe styling.

Well, well, the woman purrs, every word a polite little cut. If it isn’t the infamous Bridgette Short and her latest acquisition. Quite the spectacle you’re making, my dear.

Bella feels a surge of indignation at the woman’s dismissive tone, but before she can respond, Bridgette interjects smoothly. Cecilia, always a pleasure. May I introduce Bella, my companion for the evening?

Cecilia’s gaze travels lazily over Bella’s form, her lips curving into an amused smile as she appraises the young woman with unabashed interest. Turning back to Bridgette, she looks entertained, and quietly busy adding something up.

I must admit, Bridgette, you’ve outdone yourself with this one. Such exquisite beauty, such poise and grace. If I didn’t know better, I’d mistake her for one of those pampered socialites you’re always consorting with.

Cecilia reaches out to trail a finger along Bella’s exposed collarbone, her nail grazing the delicate skin. Bella suppresses a shudder at the intimate contact, acutely aware of the heat emanating from Cecilia’s touch.

Leaning in closer, Cecilia lowers her voice to a conspiratorial whisper, her breath tickling Bella’s ear. Tell me, doll, have you considered what it would be like to serve someone other than Bridgette? Someone who could offer you…shall we say, a different perspective on the world?

Before Bella can respond, Cecilia straightens up, her gaze shifting back to Bridgette. There’s a subtle challenge in her eyes, a knowing smirk playing at the corners of her mouth.

Bella’s eyes widen in shock at Cecilia’s bold suggestion. She can feel Bridgette stiffen beside her, the older woman’s grip on her arm tightening imperceptibly. Bella forces herself to meet Cecilia’s challenging gaze, determined not to show weakness in front of this formidable stranger.

I…I belong to Bridgette, Bella declares, her voice wavering slightly despite her resolve. She’s my mistress, and I serve only her.

Cecilia laughs softly, the dry laugh of a woman who has heard every declaration of loyalty before. How quaint, she muses, her eyes dancing with mirth. Such loyalty is rare in this day and age. Tell me, Bridgette, how did you manage to inspire such devotion in your little pet?

Bridgette’s face doesn’t change. But her thumb, which has been tracing idle circles on Bella’s arm all evening, goes still, and Bella has learned what that means. Bella is more than just a pet, Cecilia, Bridgette states, each word cold and precise. She’s my companion.

Cecilia’s eyes widen slightly at Bridgette’s admission, a flicker of surprise crossing her otherwise composed features. She regards Bella with renewed interest, as if seeing her in a new light.

Companion, you say? Cecilia murmurs, her gaze lingering on Bella’s form appreciatively. How delightfully unexpected. It seems our dear Bridgette has finally succumbed to the allure of romance.

Her tone is pure sarcasm, but there’s an underlying note of something else – perhaps envy, or even a begrudging respect. Turning back to Bridgette, Cecilia’s expression grows serious, her voice dropping to a low, urgent tone.

Speaking of surprises, I’ve heard whispers of certain…developments regarding our mutual acquaintances. Lucien and Genevieve have been unusually active lately, making inquiries and forming alliances. Whatever they’re planning, it bodes ill for us all.

Bella goes still at Cecilia’s cryptic warning, her mind racing with possibilities. What could Lucien and Genevieve be plotting? And why would it pose a threat to Bridgette – and by extension, to her?

Bella looks to Bridgette for guidance, seeking reassurance in her mistress’s steady gaze. She knows that whatever challenges lie ahead, she will face them alongside Bridgette, united in their bond.

As if sensing Bella’s distress, Cecilia places a reassuring hand on her shoulder, her touch surprisingly gentle. Don’t fret, little one, she murmurs, her voice softer now. Bridgette and I will handle this. You just focus on looking ravishing and staying by her side.

With that, Cecilia excuses herself, melting into the crowd with practiced ease. Left alone with Bridgette, Bella feels a wave of unease wash over her, the weight of the unknown pressing down upon her.

Mistress, she whispers, her voice trembling slightly. What…what are we going to do?

Let me worry about Lucien and Genevieve, Bridgette murmurs, her voice low and steady. You worry about your posture.

Bella nods, drawing comfort from Bridgette’s touch and the quiet conviction in her voice. Yet despite her mistress’s assurances, she can’t shake the nagging sense of unease that lingers in the pit of her stomach.

Glancing around the ballroom, Bella spots Lucien and Genevieve mingling with a group of well-dressed guests, their eyes occasionally flicking in her direction. Bella remembers how they cornered her at the reception, and edges closer to Bridgette.

Bella takes a deep, steadying breath, willing herself to focus on the task at hand. She knows that tonight’s auction is crucial to Bridgette’s empire, and she’s determined to play her part flawlessly. Stealing a glance at her reflection in a nearby mirror, she admires the way the gown clings to her newly toned curves, emphasizing her transformation under Bridgette’s careful tutelage.

Around them, the guests mingle and converse, their laughter and chatter filling the opulent ballroom. Servers glide through the crowd, offering flutes of champagne and delicate hors d’oeuvres. Through it all, Bella remains acutely aware of the stares and whispers that follow her every move, the subtle undercurrent of tension that pulses beneath the glittering surface.

As Bridgette and Bella make their way through the crowd, the guests part respectfully, creating a path to the grand staircase leading down to the auction room. Bella’s mind spins with images of past auctions and the fate of the poor souls who crossed that stage.

Descending the stairs, Bella’s eyes widen at the sight before her. The auction room is a lavish, circular chamber, its walls lined with tiered seating for the privileged guests. In the center, a spotlit stage awaits, the focal point of the evening’s macabre entertainment.

Bella grips Bridgette’s arm tighter as they take their seats in the luxurious chairs reserved for them beside the stage. The room hums with excited chatter, the air thick with the scent of perfume and expensive cigars. Around them, the cream of the criminal underworld have gathered, drawn by the promise of indulgence and the thrill of the hunt.

Onstage, a woman dressed in a sleek, form-fitting gown takes her place behind the podium. Her sharp features and predatory gaze mark her as a kindred spirit to Bridgette – a hunter among hunters. As she clears her throat, the room falls silent, all eyes riveted on the stage.

Ladies and gentlemen, distinguished guests, the woman begins, her voice sultry and commanding. Welcome to our little gathering. I trust you’re all prepared for a night of…unique entertainments.

A ripple of laughter runs through the audience, dark and knowing. Bella feels the weight of their collective gaze upon her, the unspoken hunger that lingers in the air.

Without further ado, the auctioneer continues, let us begin. Our first lot tonight is a rare gem indeed – a true innocent, freshly plucked from the halls of academia.

Onstage, the auctioneer gestures dramatically, and a door at the rear of the stage swings open. A handler emerges, leading a young woman by a leash attached to a steel collar around her neck. The woman wears a skimpy, diaphanous gown, her wrists bound behind her back and her mouth filled with a ring gag.

Feast your eyes upon Lot Number One! the auctioneer announces, with a showwoman’s flourish. Meet Felicity, a 19-year-old coed plucked from the hallowed halls of an Ivy League university. A true bluestocking, my friends – smart, driven, and oh-so-deliciously sheltered. Can you imagine the fun you’ll have corrupting this little bookworm?

As the handler leads Felicity around the stage, presenting her from all angles, the audience murmurs appreciatively. Felicity’s eyes are wide with terror, tears streaming down her cheeks as she takes in the sea of leering faces before her.

Let’s start the bidding at $500,000, shall we? the auctioneer suggests, a wicked grin playing at her lips. Who wants to be the first to make an offer on this delectable little morsel?

As the bidding for Felicity escalates, Bella finds herself torn between sympathy for the terrified girl and a morbid fascination with the proceedings. She can’t help but imagine herself in Felicity’s position, stripped of her dignity and sold to the highest bidder. The thought sends a shiver down her spine, equal parts fear and unwanted arousal.

Beside her, Bridgette watches the stage, her thumb moving in slow circles on Bella’s knee. She seems completely at ease amidst the depravity, as if this were just another business transaction. Bella wonders how many times her mistress has sat in this very chair, watching as lives were bought and sold with the same detachment one might show while purchasing cattle.

As the auctioneer calls out increasingly outrageous sums, the audience responds with enthusiasm, their voices rising in a frenzied chorus. Finally, with a triumphant cry, the auctioneer brings her gavel down, sealing Felicity’s fate.

Sold! To the gentleman in the front row for $3.2 million!

As Felicity is led offstage, her body shaking with sobs, Bella feels a perverse thrill course through her veins. The drugs in her system and the weeks of training have conditioned her to find excitement in the degradation of others, a twisted pleasure in witnessing their submission.

Backstage, Felicity is thrust into a cage, the door slammed shut behind her. She curls into a fetal position, her mind reeling with the reality of her situation. The enormity of what has just transpired crashes over her like a tidal wave, leaving her gasping for air amidst the wreckage of her shattered innocence.

Onstage, the auctioneer introduces the next lot – a stunning redhead with alabaster skin and fiery green eyes. Clad in a scandalously short schoolgirl uniform, complete with knee socks and patent leather Mary Janes, she exudes a seductive blend of youthful innocence and smoldering sensuality.

Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to present our next tempting treat, the auctioneer purrs, her voice dripping with sultry promise. Meet Scarlett, a recent high school graduate with a penchant for trouble.

Bella watches, entranced, as Scarlett is presented to the audience. The girl moves with a fluid grace, her hips swaying seductively with each step. Despite the demure schoolgirl costume, there’s an unmistakable air of rebellion about her, a fiery spirit that refuses to be fully tamed.

Scarlett here has been quite the handful, the auctioneer explains, her lips curling into a knowing smile. Our trainers have spent countless hours teaching her the value of discipline and obedience. And while she’s made remarkable progress, she still retains a delightful streak of defiance that keeps things interesting.

As Scarlett completes her circuit of the stage, Bella notices the faint markings on the girl’s inner thighs – evidence of recent punishment, no doubt. The sight sends a shiver of excitement through Bella’s core, her mind conjuring vivid images of Scarlett bent over a trainer’s lap, her pert bottom reddened by a firm hand.

Shall we start the bidding at $750,000? the auctioneer suggests, her gaze sweeping over the assembled guests. Who’s ready to take on the challenge of taming this spirited filly?

Bella watches, enthralled, as the bidding for Scarlett escalates rapidly. The spirited redhead stands proudly on the stage, her chin lifted defiantly despite the heavy chain leash attached to her steel collar. Bella can see the fight in Scarlett’s eyes, the determination to resist her fate no matter the cost.

One million dollars! a voice calls out from the back of the room, drawing gasps and murmurs from the crowd.

The auctioneer’s eyes widen in surprise, a delighted grin spreading across her face. One million dollars to the gentleman in the balcony! Do I hear one million five hundred thousand?

As the bidding continues to climb, Bella finds herself oddly conflicted. On one hand, she feels a kinship with Scarlett, a recognition of the struggle against inevitable submission. Yet at the same time, the darkness within her, fueled by the drugs and conditioning, relishes the thought of seeing another woman broken and remade in her mistress’s image.

Beside her, Bridgette’s gaze is fixed intently on the stage. Bella wonders what thoughts are running through her mistress’s mind, what plans she might be hatching for this newest acquisition.

Sold! For three million dollars to the lady in the front row!

The next lots are the pair of ponygirls Bridgette brought with her for sale. Led onstage by their handler, they trot obediently, their blonde manes swaying with each step. Their bodies are encased in gleaming latex, the material clinging to every curve and highlighting their assets. Despite their submissive posture and downcast eyes, there’s an undeniable air of pride about them, a silent boast of their flawless appearance and impeccable training.

As the handler presents them to the audience, Bella finds herself captivated by their beauty. The ponygirls’ expressions remain serene, even as the guests leer and comment crudely on their attributes. They seem utterly at peace with their fate, content to be led and displayed like prized possessions.

Next up, we have two of Bridgette’s finest creations, the auctioneer announces, warm with admiration. These magnificent specimens have undergone months of rigorous training, honing their minds and bodies into the ultimate fantasy. Observe their perfect synchronicity, their innate grace and poise. Truly, they are works of art.

The crowd murmurs appreciatively, clearly impressed by the ponygirls’ display.

The bidding for the ponygirls escalates rapidly, the auctioneer’s voice rising in pitch as she rattles off astronomical sums. Bella watches, mesmerized, as the numbers climb higher and higher, the competition fierce for these coveted prizes.

As the frenzy builds, a new voice cuts through the din – deep, cultured, and dripping with wealth. Ten million dollars!

The crowd falls silent, all eyes turning to locate the source of this staggering bid. Bella’s heart sinks as she spots the speaker: Lucien Dubois, standing at the back of the room, his dark eyes fixed intently on the stage.

Ten million dollars, going once…going twice… the auctioneer calls, her gaze scanning the audience for any challengers. None emerge.

Sold! For ten million dollars to Mr. Lucien Dubois!

Applause ripples through the room as Lucien inclines his head graciously, acknowledging his victory. The ponygirls remain impassive, their expressions betraying no sign of distress or excitement.

Bella’s gaze follows the ponygirls as they are led offstage, their handler guiding them with a firm but gentle touch. Despite their impending fate, the girls maintain their composure, their heads held high and their steps measured. Bella can’t help but admire their poise and grace, even as a pang of sympathy stirs within her.

As the handler disappears backstage with the ponygirls, Bella turns her attention back to the stage, where the auctioneer is preparing to introduce the next lot. She feels Bridgette’s hand rest reassuringly on her thigh, a silent reminder of her mistress’s presence and protection.

Yet as the auction proceeds, Bella finds her thoughts drifting back to Lucien and his victorious bid. She remembers his dark, penetrating gaze and isn’t sure that what she feels is only fear. She wonders what fate awaits the ponygirls in his possession, and whether they will find any measure of happiness in their new lives.

Glancing over at Bridgette, Bella sees her mistress’s profile outlined against the stage lights, perfectly composed. What is Bridgette thinking in this moment?

As the auction continues, Bella’s mind wanders, lost in a tumult of conflicting emotions. She watches as each lot is presented, some timid and terrified, others defiant and proud. Yet regardless of their demeanor, they all share one common thread – the inevitability of their fate.

As a particularly striking brunette is led onto the stage, her body adorned with intricate tattoos and piercings, Bella feels a surge of pity. The woman’s eyes are downcast, her shoulders slumped in resignation. Bella wonders what circumstances led her to this moment, what choices or misfortunes sealed her destiny.

Glancing around the room, Bella takes in the assembled guests – men and women of immense wealth and power, their faces alight with excitement and lust. She shudders at the thought of what they might do to the helpless souls they purchase, the depravities they might indulge in behind closed doors.

Yet amidst the horror, Bella cannot deny the dark allure of it all. The drugs coursing through her system, combined with the weeks of conditioning, have warped her perceptions, blurring the lines between right and wrong, pleasure and pain. She finds herself increasingly aroused by the spectacle unfolding before her, her body responding with traitorous heat.

Beside her, Bridgette says nothing. Meanwhile, Bella’s mind drifts back to her own journey, the path that led her from a naive college student to Bridgette’s captive. She remembers the early days of confusion and fear, the gradual acceptance of her fate, and the insidious allure of submission.

Bella watches as the last of the slaves are led offstage, their fates sealed by the final hammer blow of the auctioneer’s gavel. The room buzzes with excitement and satisfaction, the wealthy patrons congratulating themselves on their successful bids.

Turning to Bridgette, Bella sees her mistress’s eyes shining with a mix of pride and calculation. Quite a haul tonight, wouldn’t you say, doll? Bridgette remarks, her voice low and satisfied.

Before Bella can respond, a commotion near the entrance draws their attention. Looking up, Bella sees Lucien striding towards them, his dark eyes fixed intently on Bridgette. Behind him trails Genevieve, cool and unhurried, already wearing the look of a winner.

Ah, Bridgette, Lucien greets smoothly, inclining his head in a gesture that is more mockery than respect. Another successful evening, I presume?

Bridgette’s expression hardens, her gaze narrowing as she regards her rival. Indeed, Lucien. Though I suspect your pockets may be a little lighter after tonight’s purchases.

Lucien chuckles, a sound like grinding glass. A small price to pay for such exquisite additions to my collection. And speaking of collections…

As Lucien’s gaze shifts to Bella, she feels a chill run down her spine. His eyes roam over her body, lingering on the curves revealed by the sheer gown, and a slow, predatory smile spreads across his face.

And here I thought the night’s entertainment was over, he drawls, his eyes on the one lot still unsold. But it seems there’s still one more prize to be claimed.
